Yujin Lee

Biography

Yujin Lee (b. 1986) is a visual artist and a collaborator living and working on Jeju Island, South Korea, where she also runs an experimental artist residency named Next Door to the Museum. Guided by the rural life on the island, her practice revolves around ecological thinking and relationship building.

Yujin Lee received her BFA from Cornell University and MFA from Columbia University. She has exhibited her work internationally, such as in Jeju Museum of Art (Jeju, S. Korea), OVERGROUND Fukuoka (Fukuoka, Japan), Iron Velvet (New York, US), UP Vargas Museum (Manila, Philippines), Culturetank (Seoul, S. Korea), National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Gwacheon, S. Korea), State Museum of GULAG (Moscow, Russia), etc. She was also the collaborating curator for The 3rd Jeju Biennale, hosting Rirkrit Tiravanija’s site- specific new work at her space, Next Door to the Museum.
