‘Steam Stream’
Circumstance by Benjarat Aiemrat
Co-Curation by Pearamon Tulavardhana
Venue: MMAD GALLERY 4, 2nd Fl., MunMun Srinakarin
Date: 7 May - 21 June 2026Ruangsak Anuwatwimon is participating in Steam Stream as a co-creator under the collective identity Doomsday Collector, within the long-term project initiated by Benjarat Aiemrat. The exhibition unfolds through an ongoing dialogue between creative minds, exploring personal narratives and memories through the subject of water. Working collaboratively with practitioners from diverse backgrounds and disciplines, the project creates a space for exchange and interpretation through individual “water recipes” and personal “ratios” shaped by each participant’s experiences and perspectives.
‘Steam Stream’ is the third chapter of ‘NAM-SAI,’ Benjarat Aiemrat’s long-term project that explores ‘water’ and its properties as they inhabit the narrative of humanity. Emerging from Benjarat’s personal whims and co-curated through a dialogue with her ‘Anonymous Anomaly,’ Pearamon Tulavardhana, this chapter expands upon the dynamics between water’s different states, liquid and air, steam and stream.
Through the creations and activations of invited co-creators from various practices, the exhibition interprets unique stories shared through personal ‘water recipes’ and individual ‘ratios.’ By positioning herself as the ‘Circumstance,’ Benjarat transforms the exhibition space into an evolving vessel for the seen and unseen, the flux of the physical and nonphysical, and the balance of stories and memories.
The exhibition invites audiences to connect through their senses and pure feeling to rediscover the forgotten stories that sustain them, reflecting on the ephemeral states of water and life while composing their own personal ‘water recipe’ of belonging.
