“Buddhadasa Bhikkhu once referred to a concept of non-dualism. Ordinary people normally perceive things as dual in character: virtuous and evil, long and short, night and day, birth and death. Buddhadasa Bhikkhu stated that, in fact, things are not separate into opposite poles. They co-exist just like a palm and a back of a hand. It is inseparable. That is the truth. Thích Nhất Hạnh similarly said that if left hand gets hurt, right hand gets hurt too. Birth and death are not separate. He explained this by using poetic language that garbage and flowers are not separate. When one sees garbage, does one also see flowers? This is the truth that most people do not understand. However, if one understands this, one will realize that birth and death, us and them, are all inseparable.”

“The precursor begins
From piecing together
Each moment of encounter,
that has parallel, overlapping contexts in both near and far distance,
Including collecting empirical raw materials
From each place to connect, combine, compose,
And constitute their relations”
