‘The Wood that Weeps’ exhibition aims to investigate the overlapping relationships between environmental and economic problems. To address the crux of these issues, the art pieces display some things people nowadays take for granted. The procedures are all conducted on the basis of work, inspired by force, to show the importance of workforce that propels the society through the works of Viriya Chotpanyavisut.
The exhibition is an experimental project that applies an eco-sustainable aspect to the artistic and curatorial processes. It adopts the idea of “Zero Waste”, to mimic nature in how it is beauteous and unpolluted. This will awaken people to the environmental concerns in the anticipated future.
