All Item / Remembrance (Ratanakiri)
The limited edition reveals the integration of new images in the traditional patterns of woven fabric made by a mountain Cambodian people. Bombs, helicopters and airplanes are mixed with more geometric patterns. The Tampuon people was both victim of the war between Vietnam and Cambodia and of the persecution of Pol Pot. Close to an anthropologic study, Arin Rungjang has interviewed the Tampuon women working on these fabrics and created a sound installation. A book with the transcript and translation into English and Khmer accompanies the limited edition and the exhibition.
