Rirkrit Tiravanija and Viriya Chotpanyavisut are participating in BLACK: Vibrant Multiple Light at MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum, an exhibition drawn from the museum's permanent collection.
Bringing together paintings, sculptures, photography, moving images, and installation art by more than 39 acclaimed Thai and international artists, the exhibition spans works created over the past five decades. While some pieces date back more than fifty years, many are being presented to the public for the first time in decades.
The exhibition reflects the artistic vision and collecting philosophy of Jean-Michel Beurdeley, co-founder of MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum. Featuring works of deep personal and emotional significance, the selection highlights the foundation of the museum's permanent collection and the values that continue to shape its growth today.
