This work evokes the distinctive sensibility of Sethaseree’s practice. Traditional techniques and handmade crayons are used to create collaged images on dissected and reassembled faces. The identities of the 14 prime ministers have faded, leaving only traces shaped by the military regimes they represent. Bone matter is used metaphorically to signify a malignant growth devouring those faces, overlaid with poppies—symbols of war veterans.
