For BAB 2020, Anuwatwimon presents three connected pieces: the first piece consists of 98 plants and trees that can withstand droughts, floods, and saltwater, and that are native to 70 countries around the world. He connects this display of plants to the theory of natural selection. Another piece is a large painting of a sika deer which can only be found in Russia. There was an effort to restore the population of sika deer, and they reproduced quickly, but the small gene pool created a weak and vulnerable species that was prone to diseases and then deer died quickly as well. And final piece is a sculpture that addresses the eating habits of humans and how it negatively could affect animals. The growing strength of the human race leads to the destruction of the world. The spread of COVID-19 should make us consider our weaknesses as we are defeated by our own behaviors.
