Beuys project is a long term collaboration between Wantanee and “Beuys”, an African Grey Parrot since September 2013 until now. The name “Beuys” belongs not only to the art pioneer of 20th century but also the name of the parrot whom Wantanee dedicated her time everyday in order to build a bond between the artist and the parrot.

For Video Box program, Gallery VER is showcasing Project Beuys (African Grey Parrot) by Wantanee Siripattananuntakul, featuring three selected videos by the artist ‘JA, JA, JA, JA, NE, NE, NE, NE’, 2016, HD  video with sound, 32 mins., ‘EVERYONE IS…’, 2017, HD video with sound, 4:53 mins., and her newest work, ‘BEUYS AND A COYOTE : THE SILENT RELATIONSHIP’, 2019, 4K video, 19:35 mins along with additional three A4-sized photographies from the same project ‘Beuys 101(The Series)’ Giclee prints on Kozo (Thick) Nutural paper, 2014. The main video for the booth is her latest work ‘BEUYS AND A COYOTE : THE SILENT RELATIONSHIP’ which emphasises years and years of intimate relationship between Wantanee and Beuys, not only by teaching her to speak but in trusting each others without any means of verbal communication. The additional photographies are the first works that are featured in the series as an introduction to the project itself.
